A Fall Home Tour

We are probably a little Fall-lite this year on decorating since we’re in the middle of a few projects. However, I did want to share some pictures, and in them, you can see that we have painted a few of the rooms now. Actually, we painted the entire main level, including the living room and the dining room, which are pictured below.

The entire main level was originally supposed to be painted with Behr’s Graceful Gray. We even bought five gallons of it. Then I came home, opened Pinterest, and fell in love with Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray. Also, I was worried that Graceful Gray may end up being too dark. Matt was less than thrilled, but I was so happy. It’s called “agreeable” so we agreed to go with it. I will find something else to do with FIVE gallons of gray paint. A project will come to me I’m sure.

The Living Room

We went with blues and rust tones on the white sectional.

I found this cute pitcher and faux florals at a store called Gray Apple Market local to us. So the mantle got a pop of color.

There is much more that I wanted to do but with the ongoing projects, I held back this year.

Our dining room, which used to be mint chip ice cream colored, got an overhaul with Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray and Behr's Ultra White for the trim color. We removed the black floating shelves to replace with the circular metal shelf — one of two things that Matt got to keep upstairs in the house and not in the basement.

I also ended up painting the door gray and then immediately launched us in a project to paint the trim and shutters on the exterior of the house. I couldn’t find a color that I liked with the green, and I didn’t like the green. So we started to tone the house down to a beige, black, and white color scheme (more pictures to come with Christmas since the house exterior is still in process of being painted).

That’s it for our Fall-lite decor!
